11th March 2007 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: 15-22 knots Surf / Sea State: 3 foot surf Air Temperature: 10ºC Sea Temperature: 10ºC Weather: Cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: After a walk in the hills we headed over to the beach and I went out with my recently repaired Naish Hybrid Freewave 86 and a 5.7m sail. I was well powered up and had quite a few good runs staying out beyond the majority of th waves. I worked my way upwind and then went in to see where Steve was. Once back on the water the wind had eased off a little and although I was still planing I gradually lost ground downwind until I was back where I started from. The wind then seemed to drop off even more so I decided to call it a day. Steve was going to have one last go but it didn't look too promising. The little sail I had was good though with a few nice umps and some decent gybes on the face of large bits of swell. The water was nice and warm too. |
